A BILL to amend article two, chapter twenty-one-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section nine, relating to continuing the authority of the commissioner of the bureau of employment programs to administer unemployment compensation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That article two, chapter twenty-one-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section nine, to read as follows:
21A-2-9. Continuation of authority of commissioner to administer unemployment compensation.

Pursuant to the provisions of chapter four, article ten of this code, the commissioner shall continue to administer this chapter until the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-six, to allow for the completion of a preliminary performance review by the joint committee on government operations.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the authority of the Commissioner of the Bureau of Employment Programs to administer Unemployment Compensation until July 1, 1996, to allow for the completion of a preliminary performance review by the Joint Committee on Government Operations.
